Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education (ºÚÁÏרÇø) and Google are partnering
to offer to thousands of for-credit and non-credit students. This new online initiative is
open to ºÚÁÏרÇø students and the community to help thousands of people get the skills
for some of the most in-demand jobs.
Google Career Certificates prepare people with skills for jobs in cybersecurity, data
analytics, digital marketing and e-commerce , IT Support, project management and user
experience (UX) design.
ºÚÁÏרÇø Students
Participating ºÚÁÏרÇø universities will add value to undergraduate students by pairing
the online training alongside regular courses, so students earn college credit and
an industry-recognized certificate, which can give graduates an advantage in the job
market.
Workers (non-students)
Universities also will offer the certificates through non-credit options to the community
and partnerships with employers. The certificates can be completed online within three
to six months of part-time study. No degree or experience required.
Employer Collaboration
Pennsylvania employers are invited to partner with a ºÚÁÏרÇø university to offer Google
Career Certificates to train and strengthen your employees’ skills. Contact the ºÚÁÏרÇø
university in your region for information.

Participating universities in the launch phase of the initiative are Commonwealth,
East Stroudsburg, Indiana, Kutztown, PennWest, Millersville, Shippensburg and Slippery
Rock.
